Founded in 1994 by Vice President Al Gore, GLOBE is the world's largest citizen science network. Every four years, a selection of students, teachers and scientists convene at the GLOBE Learning Expedition to engage in meaningful research and cultural exchange. Nice Marmot Films was tasked with capturing the event in Killarney, Ireland—following several core characters in an observational, cinema vérité style. The result is an honest and intimate portrait of the diverse characters that make up The GLOBE Program, and the transformational power of the connections fostered between them.
